St Gianna New Location Is Almost Ready!
July 15, 2024I don’t blog very often, but a news article this past week spurred me to put my thoughts down in writing.
This past week, the Southern Baptist Convention voted to prayerfully consider the practice of IVF, In Vitro Fertilization and if it aligns with their theological convictions. It’s significant because the Southern Baptist represent the second largest voice of Christians in the US, second only to the Catholic Church, which also denounces IVF.
It’s a bold and brave move for the Southern Baptists. They are vocally pro-life and support that life begins at fertilization, but they had avoided discussion of artificial reproductive methods until now. In a time when infertility is on the rise, and when you are a church that is pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage, you have to offer an alternative to couples that yearn to have a family. These couples feel drawn by God, their creator, to join with him to bring new life into the world.
I’m excited for these new conversations about IVF. It gives me an opportunity to talk about what I do at St. Gianna Center for Women’s Health & Fertility Care. I have a very special job – to tell the story of hope to couples who battle infertility and who have been told that the only way they are going to have a baby is through IVF. We offer an alternative to IVF that is natural and pro-life.
Through charting a woman’s natural signs of her cycle and working with doctors trained in NaProTechnology, short for Natural Procreative Technology, we can help determine why a couple is infertile and potentially offer them the solution to this health condition. In fact, 20-40% of couples using NaPro tracking alone will find themselves pregnant in 8-12 months.1 Add in medical consultation and potentially surgical intervention from a Creighton Medical Consultant, and that pregnancy success rate goes up to 80%.2 Those are statistics the IVF industry can’t match. And it’s all natural, all pro-life.
Learning to chart your cycle starts by attending an Introductory Session and learning how to read your body’s natural signs of fertility: the woman’s cervical mucus. The session is followed by 8 follow up sessions. The first 4 are every 2 weeks so that you can gain a quick jumpstart on your understanding of these signs that you may have not even known were there before! After you have charted at least 2 or 3 cycles, it’s time to see a Creighton Medical Consultant. We are blessed to have several options here in the Tampa Bay area and many more are available across the US for those who live outside our local area.
Our next FREE Introductory Session will be on Thursday, June 27 at 6:30pm. Visit our sign-up page at bit.lt/CrMSIntro to register for this or any future session. If you have questions, feel free to DM me, or email me at info@stgiannacenter.com.
