Many Reasons for Gratitude

We Have a New Center Director
September 10, 2023It seems impossible that the Lenten season is rushing to its end and we are ready to embrace all of the glories of Easter! It all seems to have happened in the blink of an eye; yet so much has been packed into these days.
Our St. Gianna Center is moving along with the discernment process of our next step. We feel a comfortable sense of positive progress as we move forward. Wonderful supporters are still stepping forward to help us with the financial part of our progress. We just received a $1,000.00 donation from a fundraiser which was held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church! The woman in charge of the fundraiser has been supporting this work for a long time. We were discussing family life and she shared that she was sad because she has no grandchildren. This conversation made me realize that our Blessed Mother had no grandchildren; even so, she is a heavenly mother to each and all of us. Our supporter is hoping that this money might help some of our clients who are suffering with infertility to realize their deepest prayer of conceiving and carrying a baby to full term; ultimately giving them the wondrous opportunity to be grandparents one day.
Three of our infertility clients did achieve a pregnancy only to lose the baby in an early miscarriage. They are so sad. Please keep them in your prayers. A verse from a poem written by Susan Erling, entitled “Just Those Few Weeks” sums up some of what they are feeling:
You were just a few weeks, my little one,
You darted in and out of my life too quickly.
But it seems that’s all the time you needed.
To make my life so much richer
And give me a small glimpse of eternity.
Please pray, too, for our Education Phase II which we will be conducting from April 29 – May 5, 2023. We have 3 interns who will be attending. This means that even more women/couples will have the ability to use this wondrous knowledge in their lives.
Please keep the positive progress of our St. Gianna Center in your prayers and know that you each and all remain a special part of our prayers. We wish every glorious blessing of Easter be yours now and forever!
