Our 20/20 Vision for Growth
January 5, 2020December!!
What a wondrous month is December! It is the very last month in our year and it is packed with celebrations and they all lead us into the supreme gift of a New Year!
What can it all mean? Everyone and everything wants to be a part of the celebrations. It is that time of the year when we find the great classics so compelling; “It’s a Wonderful Life!”, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!”, “Miracle on 34th Street” and “The Christmas Story”. We embrace and anticipate the great religious classics of “Joy to the World!”, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing!” and “Oh Come All Ye Faithful!” It is the time when we begin to be considerate of others and have more concern about those who are less fortunate. We manage to plan and attend celebrations with family and friends and we reach out to those who are strangers in need. Our thoughts and our hearts are full of what we can share with those who are special in our lives and of what we can do to help bring joy to those who have little to no joy.
What is it about December?
December 25th is when it all began! On that day, Jesus came into this world. He was joyfully received at that time by His parents; look how that joy has spread! Jesus shows us the way to begin this life. The most powerful union in this world is the family. Jesus Christ, born on Christmas Day, made Mary and Joseph a family and there was a great joy for them in that moment. He entered their family with a heart full of love and he showed the world how this life should begin and how it should be lived.
It was such a profound moment that most of the world continues to celebrate that great day, Christmas. Eternity must be Christmas every moment, never ending!
As we gather to celebrate the perfect love of Christmas, let us keep all of God’s children in our powerful prayers. Let us try to keep as much of Christmas in our daily lives as possible and then let us continue to share that joy with all others.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our St. Gianna Center both in your prayers and financially. You help us to bring great joy to so many! We could not do it without each of you.
Let us do as Christ did and open our arms and our hearts to the miracle of Christmas!
Let us live this Christmas as if it were our first Christmas!
Let us live this Christmas as if it were our last Christmas!
Let us live this Christmas as if it were our only Christmas!
JOY TO YOU AND YOURS AND JOY TO THE WORLD!
