Revealing Research, Reviewing Cases, Riveting Reassurance, Remarkable Reunions
July 28, 2025St Gianna Center is excited to announce that our Intern, Katie Perez is now a
FertilityCare Practitioner, FCP. Katie recently passed her five hour proctored exam.
Wow! This is after completing the rigorous education program that included two in
person classroom sessions lasting 8 days and then 7, two supervised practicums, an
on-site visit and working with 18 clients under the supervision of her Educator. We are
so proud of her and this achievement. She joins the ranks of professionals who teach
the Creighton Model FertilityCare System, a method of monitoring a woman’s cervical
mucus to track fertility and other signs of women’s health.
Before beginning the Education Program, Katie and her husband, Armando, had been
using the Creighton Model System for four years, and it has been life-changing for
them. Katie has been amazed by how deeply the Creighton Model has positively
impacted her faith, health, and marriage. She is excited and honored to help other
women and couples experience similar benefits in their health, relationships, families,
and faith through teaching the Creighton Model.
In addition to her work as a FertilityCare Practitioner, Katie is an occupational therapist
specializing in pelvic health. She is dedicated to helping patients overcome pelvic pain
and dysfunction, focusing on supporting pregnant and postpartum mothers, educating
women about their menstrual cycles, and treating endometriosis and chronic pelvic
pain. Her work as a pelvic floor therapist complements her role in teaching the
Creighton Model, empowering women to better understand and care for their bodies.
Katie’s greatest joys are being a wife to Armando and a mother to their three amazing
young daughters—identical twins who are the oldest, followed by their sister who is 17
months younger. She enjoys being active in her church community, spending time in
nature with her family, going on playground adventures with her daughters, taking long
walks with their family dog, and exploring new hobbies, including embroidery and
baking sourdough bread.
